A New beginning

Just a little bit about me
I was born in South Africa and live a pretty normal life.I grew up mostly in the normal way of family life, with the exception that my farther had a hobby of diving.
I have been with him when they went diving and always heard them talk about the ocean...until the day my father called me and said, "We are moving to Cape Town." At the time, that didn't mean anything to me.
After our move to Cape Town, my father asked if I wanted to go diving. Like a boy, I naturally said yes.
It was only when I saw the ocean for the first time that I felt this incredible feeling of calmness and fear at the same time. I looked at my father and saw the excitement in his eyes.
After many years of going with them, it became the normal weekend activity for me. I could never wait for the weekend, not knowing where we would be going this weekend, and in the evening sitting around a campfire, listening to them talk about the dive and dreams of the future.
Long story short... Sadly, my father was diagnosed with cancer, and it was not long before he passed.
Obviously, it hit me hard, and I now had to learn to live the normal life of teenagers in the 80's.
It was only after my stint in the military that I really started to think about my father and his dreams, but as life moved me to different countries and explore different cultures, it is only recently that I'm sitting and thinking about those dreams my father had.
I'm by no means wealthy enough to afford that boat to live that dream in the Caribbean, but I'm seriously working on a way to be able to do that.
About 4 years ago, I stumbled on some sailing channels on YouTube, and I've been hooked on them.

These channels have inspired me to start this blog and also my dream of living a dream my father always talked about, but not only for him but for me to live my dream and live it to the fullest.
